Tezzbuzz Desk– The schedule of Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2026 has been released. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the schedule of the tournament at the Olympian Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium in Mohali. During this, Bhola Nath, Vice President of Asian Hockey Federation and General Secretary of Hockey India was also present.
According to the Chief Minister, the Men's Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2026 will be organized from October 27 to November 5. The tournament matches will be played in Mohali and Jalandhar of Punjab. The opening ceremony will be held in Jalandhar on October 27, while the final of the tournament will be held on November 5 at the Olympian Balbir Singh Senior Hockey Stadium in Mohali.
Bhagwant Mann said that Punjab has got the opportunity to host this big international level hockey tournament for the first time. The state government will leave no stone unturned to make it successful. He said that arrangements for accommodation, food and other facilities for the hockey teams coming from different countries will be made as per international standards.
The Chief Minister said that preparations are going on at a fast pace in both the stadiums of Mohali and Jalandhar. The stadiums are being upgraded ahead of the tournament. These include media centres, broadcast and production facilities, medical arrangements, technical dugouts, floodlights, synthetic turf, goalposts, players' dugouts, changing rooms and necessary facilities for spectators.
Bhagwant Mann said that being the Chief Minister and Sports Minister, he himself will review the preparations. Their aim is to ensure that players, officials, spectators and media do not face any kind of problem during the tournament.
