AEW Announces Pac’s Death at 40

Benjamin Satterley, the professional wrestling star best known as Pac in All Elite Wrestling, has died at age 40.

AEW announced Satterley’s death Sunday night in a statement posted on social media.

“All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac,” the company said. “A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.

“Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”

Circumstances Remain Unclear

The circumstances surrounding Satterley’s death were not immediately known.

He had challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship at the All Out wrestling event Saturday in Chicago.

OutKick said it contacted the Chicago Police Department, Hoffman Estates Police Department, Cook County Sheriff’s Office and Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office seeking more information.

Pac Was Among AEW’s Earliest Signings

Satterley was among the first wrestlers to sign with All Elite Wrestling when the promotion launched in 2019.

Competing as Pac, he became known for his intense character, athletic ability and innovative high-flying moves.

He became the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion and held the company’s World Trios Championship twice. His performances placed him in several prominent matches throughout AEW’s early history.

Satterley Previously Competed as Adrian Neville

Before joining AEW, Satterley performed for WWE under the name Adrian Neville.

He won the NXT Championship and became a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion. He also captured WWE’s Cruiserweight Championship twice.

One of his most prominent WWE appearances came at WrestleMania 33 in 2017, when he successfully defended the Cruiserweight Championship against Austin Aries.

A Career That Began in England

Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his professional wrestling career in 2004.

He competed for promotions around the world before becoming internationally recognized through WWE and AEW. His combination of agility, strength and technically demanding aerial moves made him one of the most distinctive performers of his generation.

News of his death prompted an outpouring of condolences for his family, friends, colleagues and wrestling fans.
