Kaushambi: The police has got a big success in the case of a massive explosion in an illegal firecracker factory in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh. Police arrested Naushad, the main accused in the case, after a late night encounter. During the action he was shot in the leg, after which he was admitted to the hospital for treatment. According to the police, Naushad was trying to flee the city.
Police surrounded and caught the accused
According to Kaushambi police, the police team was continuously searching for the accused to catch him. During this time information was received about his whereabouts. When the police surrounded them, the accused allegedly tried to escape. In the encounter that followed, he was shot in the leg and was arrested.

Superintendent of Police Satyanarayan Prajapat said that after completing the treatment in the hospital, Naushad will be interrogated regarding the incident. Police are also investigating other aspects in this case.
The firecracker license had been suspended earlier
According to the police, Naushad had a firecracker license, but it was suspended about two years ago. Despite this, his involvement in illegal firecracker manufacturing has come to light.
Police have already arrested Shabana and her daughter Saina, named in this case. Now after the arrest of Naushad, many important information is expected to emerge in the investigation.
11 people died in the blast
There was a massive explosion on Monday in an alleged illegal firecracker factory running amidst the populated area in Manori area. So far 11 people have died in the accident. The dead include eight children, two men and one woman. It has been told that some of the dead belonged to the same family.
More than 20 people have been injured in the incident, who are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. The condition of three of the injured is said to be serious and they have been kept on ventilator at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital.
Action taken against policemen also
Departmental action has also been taken after police negligence came to light during the initial investigation in the case. Police station incharge Pipri Vikas Singh, outpost incharge Chail Amit Dwivedi and former outpost incharge Manish Pal have been put on the line. Meanwhile, beat constables Jitendra Shukla and Krishna Kumar have been suspended and a departmental inquiry has been initiated.
