CJP founder Deepke alleges: New Delhi. On Tuesday, Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijit Deepke alleged that party workers were being served police notices and were being pressurized not to participate in the CJP's proposed agitation to be held in Delhi on October 10. Taking aim at the BJP-led government, he said that 'one country, one election' is now just a slogan and the real objective is to create 'one country, one political party'.
Preparation for movement on October 10
DeepK said in a press conference held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra that CJP has announced to protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on October 10. Through this demonstration the party will demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Chandrapur police notice claimed
Deepke claims that Chandrapur police has given notice to some CJP workers. In these notices he has reportedly been asked not to participate in the movement to be held at Jantar Mantar on October 10. Not only this, the police have also asked him about the source of the money to be spent on going to Delhi and joining the movement.
'Maharashtra Police is the best in the country, but it is sad
Deepke said, 'I have said many times that Maharashtra Police is the best police in the country and Delhi Police should learn from it. But it is heartbreaking that Chandrapur police gave notice to CJP workers asking them not to participate in the Jantar Mantar movement. He was also asked where the expenses of going to Jantar Mantar would come from.
'How did the police know that the movement would be violent?
The CJP founder raised questions on this action of the police and asked how the police could decide in advance that the movement would turn violent. He said that raising such apprehensions regarding a peaceful protest is beyond comprehension.
Question regarding social media post
Deepke also questioned the police's alleged instruction to CJP workers not to make such posts on social media that could incite violence. He said that if the party talks about Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. BR Ambedkar, will even mentioning their ideology and their name be considered violence?
Opposition attacks Election Commission regarding SIR
In fact, opposition parties are continuously raising questions on the Election Commission regarding Special Intensive Review or SIR. The opposition has also launched a campaign over alleged irregularities in the restructuring process and reports of differences within the three-member Election Commission. However, the Election Commission has rejected speculations of any differences or divisions within itself. The Commission says that decisions related to the structure have been taken with the unanimous consent of the three Election Commissioners.
