Moradabad. The political turmoil regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh has already started intensifying. Samajwadi Party (SP) has started a round of public meetings and panchayats to strengthen its hold on the ground. In this sequence, a huge ‘PDA Panchayat’ was organized in Budhanpur Aliganj, which comes under Thakurdwara assembly seat of Moradabad district. The main focus of this Panchayat was ‘Mission 2027’, in which a large number of local people and party workers gathered.

The command of this entire campaign was taken over by Engineer Iqbal Hussain, a strong contender for the Samajwadi Party ticket from Thakurdwara Assembly seat. As soon as he came on stage, Iqbal Hussain directly interacted with the public and expressed his views openly on the current political and social situation of the state.

Actually, this Panchayat was organized only to give edge to Akhilesh Yadav’s ‘PDA’ i.e. Backward, Dalit and Minority formula. Speaking in this program organized in Budhanpur Aliganj, Engineer Iqbal Hussain said that the coming time is for Samajwadi Party and for this the workers will have to gather at the booth level from now on. Raising the problems of the local people, he said that the people are suffering under the present government and only SP can live up to their expectations.

According to the local people during the program, preparations for this Panchayat of Engineer Iqbal Hussain were going on for the last several days. People were invited by going from village to village, the effect of which was clearly visible in the program today. The party leaders, who were elated after seeing the crowd, claimed that this time SP will register a historic victory in Thakurdwara Assembly.

Engineer Iqbal Hussain, in his address, not only targeted the government of Lucknow but also highlighted the laxity in the development works of Thakurdwara area. He said, “Today the youth are roaming unemployed, farmers are not getting the right price for their crops and inflation is skyrocketing. We have to unite to change this system.”

The SP leader stressed that for the success of Mission 2027, every section of the society will have to come together. He appealed to the workers to go door-to-door and tell people about the policies of the Samajwadi Party and the development works of the previous government. It is being told that after this program, there can be a big change in the political equations of the area, because Iqbal Hussain is being counted among the strongest contenders for the ticket.
