Flood of devotion in Dol Ashram: CM Dhami worshiped 1100 girls, bowed his head in front of the world’s largest Shriyantra.
Almora. Dol Ashram of Almora, situated in the peaceful valleys of Uttarakhand, appeared drenched with spiritual energy on Friday. The occasion was ‘Shri Peetham Sthapana Mahotsav’ organized by Shri Kalyanika Himalaya Devasthanam Trust, in which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated. This visit of the Chief Minister was not just a state visit, but a confluence of faith and tradition. During this, the Chief Minister not only participated in religious rituals, but also worshiped 1100 girls and sought blessings for the happiness and prosperity of the state.
Actually, Dol Ashram is world famous for its spiritual power and the world’s largest Shriyantra installed there. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached here on Friday and first performed the ritual anointment of Maa Rajeshwari. After this, he worshiped 1100 girls sitting together in the ashram premises, which was a very beautiful sight. The Chief Minister honored the girls by applying tilak and presenting them gifts. During this, he said that the goddess resides in the daughters of Devbhoomi and it is a matter of good fortune to worship her.
Dol Ashram becoming global center of spiritual consciousness
While inspecting the Ashram complex, Chief Minister Dhami was impressed by the arrangements and spiritual atmosphere there. He especially had darshan of the huge Shriyantra installed there. The Chief Minister said that standing in front of this amazing Shriyantra, one experiences a different peace and positive energy. He emphasized that it is the result of Baba Kalyandas ji’s decades of hard work and penance that today Dol Ashram has created a distinct identity for itself on the global map.
In fact, this ashram has become not just a religious place but a great center of spiritual education and cultural consciousness. Praising the efforts of Baba Kalyandas, the Chief Minister said that through him, Indian culture and spirituality is being spread not only in Uttarakhand but throughout the world. He said that such places are the backbone of our state, which attract devotees from across the country and abroad.
Spiritual Tourism: Chardham Yatra and new facilities
During the address, the Chief Minister also shared the state government’s vision of ‘Spiritual Tourism’. He said that the Government of Uttarakhand is fully committed to promoting religious and spiritual tourism in the state. It is being told that the government’s aim is not limited only to big pilgrimage sites, but also to connect peaceful and spiritual centers like Dol Ashram with the tourism circuit.
Referring to the Chardham Yatra, the Chief Minister said that the increasing number of devotees every year is a proof of the rapid development of facilities and infrastructure in the state. Praising the local people and administration, he said that safety and convenience of passengers is the priority of the government. According to him, increasing spiritual tourism will not only preserve the culture but will also create new employment opportunities for the local youth.
Presence of veterans and festive atmosphere
Many big personalities of politics and administration were also present in this grand event. Along with the Chief Minister, Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta also participated in the program. Apart from local MLAs Mohan Singh Mehra and Manoj Tiwari, former Assembly Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal also registered his presence. Along with this, the entire administration team including District Magistrate Anshul Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Chandrashekhar R Ghodke remained ready.
At the end of the festival, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Baba Kalyandas and said that he has got new energy by coming to a holy place like Dol Ashram. The huge crowd of devotees gathered at the program was enough to show how deep the roots of spirituality are in the mountains. The ceremony concluded with Shanti recitation and distribution of Prasad, in which thousands of devotees participated.
