The 77-year-old actress, who has earned widespread recognition for her iconic performances in several projects, praised her stepson for his role in the newly released period drama.
On Monday, August 17, the Dream Girl of Bollywood shared a heartfelt note about the You share actor’s performance in Aamir Khan’s production on her social media handle.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she penned “I watched the movie ‘Batwara’ yday. Simply brilliant with a clear message that conveys what the nation needs today. It reminds us that humanity, mutual respect, and harmony are far more important than hatred and division. I hope this beautiful message inspires people to change their mindset and choose kindness over hate. Brilliant direction by Rajkumar Santoshi with outstanding performances by Sunny Deol and Shabana Azmi. Also in the cast with good performances were Karan Deol & Preity Zinta.”

For the unversed, Sunny is the son of Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur.
