Amid ongoing tensions with Iran and changing political circumstances around the world, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a major statement regarding his country’s relations with India. He said on Monday that Israel is working very hard to strengthen its ties with India.
Netanyahu openly praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him one of Israel’s best friends. He also appreciated India’s support and cooperation during difficult times.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said, “We need to build more alliances, which is why I am focusing a lot on strengthening our relationship with India and with my friend Narendra Modi—who is one of our best friends. It is said that Israel is isolated, but the support that Israel and I personally receive in India is truly incredible.”
In 2018, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a significant visit to India. During that visit, nine major agreements were signed between the two countries. At that time, the two leaders designated this relationship a special partnership, which helped elevate trade and technology ties between the two countries to a new level.
The relationship between the two countries has strengthened even further in 2026. In February of this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Israel. During this visit, the two countries elevated their relationship to the “India-Israel Special Strategic Partnership for Peace, Innovation, and Prosperity.”
