Jaipur Rado Showroom Theft: Police have got very important clues in the case of sensational theft worth crores in a famous watch showroom located in the posh area of Jaipur. The movement of the gang that stole 251 luxury watches from 'The Watch Factory', the showroom of Switzerland's famous brand Rado located in the Bajaj Nagar police station area on Tonk Road, has been captured in CCTV cameras.
After the incident, four miscreants of the gang reached Sindhi Camp bus stand and escaped from there by catching a Haryana Roadways bus. Police investigation has also revealed that some other members of the gang have taken the help of train to leave the city. The police are now keeping an eye on every possible hideout of the miscreants.
The limping thief and the support of his associates were seen in CCTV.
When the police examined the CCTV footage of the city and surrounding roads after the incident, a very shocking scene emerged. In the footage, a criminal of the gang was seen seriously injured and walking limping. His two companions were seen carrying him fast, supporting him on the shoulders from both sides. Police officials believe that the criminal might have suffered serious injuries while breaking the shutter of the showroom and entering inside or while running away from there.
Investigation has also revealed that the body of the injured criminal was very heavy, due to which he was not able to run fast and his condition worsened after the injury. The police have so far identified six main criminals of this gang and raids are being conducted continuously to arrest them.
Three miscreants were standing guard outside
It has become clear in the police investigation that this entire robbery was carried out in a very clever and well-planned manner. During the incident, not all the gang members had entered the showroom. Three miscreants were standing ready on the main road outside the showroom. His responsibility was to keep an eye on the vehicles passing nearby, the patrolling police vehicles and every movement of the local people.
The job of these guards standing outside was to alert the comrades inside as soon as they sensed any danger. From this preparation, it is completely clear that the miscreants had done recce of the area several days before committing the crime and had already planned the entire route of escape after the incident.
Guarded by 120 policemen and checked by 1100 cameras
Jaipur Commissionerate has used all its strength to expose this big incident. According to DCP East Ranjita Sharma, considering the seriousness of the matter, a special team of about 120 policemen has been formed from CST, East DST and different police stations of the district. Out of these, about 30 policemen have been deployed only for the work of scanning CCTV footage from across the city.
The investigation teams have so far watched the recordings of more than 1100 CCTV cameras of Jaipur and highways. Apart from this, more than 10 experts of cyber and technical branch are working day and night in connecting mobile tower dump, location data and other technical links.
Preparation to export goods to Nepal, vigil on border
In the preliminary investigation of the police, it has been suspected that a conspiracy has been hatched to sell these stolen precious watches outside the country in the black market of Nepal. Due to the serial number of these expensive brand watches in India, selling them locally is very risky.
Due to this apprehension, special teams of Rajasthan Police have camped in the border areas of Delhi, Ghaziabad and Uttar Pradesh. Not only this, a special team of police has been sent towards Nepal border to recover the stolen goods and to stop the miscreants from escaping across the border.
36 minutes of play and loss of Rs 5 crore
This entire incident was carried out on Thursday morning between five and seven o'clock. This gang of about 13 miscreants had reached the showroom with full preparation. Within a few minutes, they broke the strong shutter of the showroom and directly targeted the counters where the most expensive watches were kept.
Within just 36 minutes, the miscreants collected 251 luxury watches worth about Rs 5 crore and disappeared from the spot. Now the police is surrounding this entire gang on the basis of scientific evidence, CCTV clues and the routes taken so that the looted goods can be recovered safely.
