Arshad Madani on Sunday released the manifesto of the two-day meeting of the working committee of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind on the social media platform ‘X’. Madani said that the current situation of the country, increasing communalism, silence of constitutional institutions, increasing steps against Muslims and Islamic symbols and hate-based politics is extremely worrying. However, Muslims have never bowed down and will never bow down. He can bow in love, but he can never bow in front of force, threat and tyranny.

Madani wrote in the post that ‘The politics of hatred in the country has now turned into the politics of threats, the aim of which is to intimidate Muslims and force them to live life on their own terms. He said that in order to gain power, peace and unity are being played with dangerously, as a result of which religious fanaticism and hatred are continuously increasing, while the guardians of law remain mute spectators. After the recent elections, the trend of gaining power on the basis of hatred has increased among some politicians. Religious sentiments are being instigated to pit the majority community against the minorities, while governments are run not by fear and intimidation but by justice and equity.

Arshad Madani mentioned the statement of West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. Madani said, ‘The statement of the newly elected Chief Minister of West Bengal that he will ‘work only for Hindus’ is completely against the constitutional and democratic values, because every Chief Minister takes oath to do justice to all the citizens. He said that the responsibility of those in power is to protect the constitutional rights of every citizen and not to indulge in politics of hatred and division against any particular section.

Along with this, Madani said in the ‘X’ post that ‘efforts are being made to transform the country into an ideological nation in a planned manner. Steps like Uniform Civil Code, making Vande Mataram mandatory, actions against mosques and madrassas and depriving genuine citizens of voting rights under the guise of SIR are links in this series. Madani said that Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind will continue its legal and democratic fight against all these steps.
