Rudraprayag. Kedarnath pilgrimage was stopped on Sunday due to rain and landslides. Police gave this information. according to police, The route has been blocked due to debris and stones near Chirbasa helipad on Kedarnath walking route. He told that due to continuous rain and falling of stones on the road, there is difficulty in cleaning it.
Police said that the walking journey has been stopped in view of the safety of the passengers. Passengers going to Kedarnath have been stopped at Sonprayag and Gaurikund and returning passengers have been stopped at Jangalchatti.
All pilgrims have been requested not to proceed on foot until the route opens and permission is obtained from the administration. Police said that the movement of passengers will be restored only after the weather and road conditions become normal.
