Legal awareness and assistance camp organized in PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Bahuar, important information given

Sonbhadra / Uttar Pradesh –

As per the instructions of Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Lucknow, letter number dated 31.08.2026 and as per the orders of District Judge/Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Sonbhadra, a large legal aid and service camp will be organized in District Sonbhadra on 01.11.2026 at District Panchayat Resource Centre, Collectorate Sonbhadra.

In connection with the above and in connection with the International Girl Child Day being celebrated on 11th October, a legal awareness and assistance camp was organized at PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Bahuar, Sonbhadra under the chairmanship of Rahul Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Sonbhadra. The program was conducted by Satyarman Tripathi, Deputy Chief LADC.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Suman Jaiswal, Assistant Professor Gynecologist Dr. Dipti Singh, Surashree Dwivedi Akashvani Radio Station Obra, Manoj Pal Co-ordinator, Human Resource and Women Development Institute Varanasi, Omprakash Vice Principal Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Deepan Kumar Paravidhik Swayamsevak/Adhikar Mitra and other teachers and about 150 boys and girls were present in the camp.

On the eve of International Girl Child Day, the theme of International Day of the Girl Child 2026 is “End Child Marriage and Invest in the Rights of the Girl Child” by the Secretary District Legal Services Authority to the girls/boys studying in schools. This year's campaign focuses on stopping the practice of child marriage and strengthening the participation of girls in decisions related to their education, health and their future.

The purpose of celebrating Girl Child Day is to protect girls from harmful practices and promote their rights and leadership abilities. Along with this, the Secretary provided detailed information on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012, various schemes being run for the overall development of women/girls and the massive legal aid and service camp to be organized by the District Legal Services Authority at the District Panchayat Resource Centre, Collectorate Sonbhadra on 01.11.2026.

Apart from this, important information regarding cervical cancer was provided to the girls present in the camp by Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Suman Jaiswal and Gynecologist Dr. Dipti Singh. And information was also given regarding its prevention and better health facilities. The above information was given by Civil Judge CD/Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Sonbhadra Rahul.
