Major fire in Mamura village of Noida, fire caused by electric bike affected 50 families; CM Yogi took immediate cognizance
Noida: A major fire broke out in Mamura village of Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. There was sudden sparking in an electric bike parked in a multi-storey building located under Phase-3 police station area, after which the fire spread rapidly. Within a short time, the flames engulfed the entire building and smoke spread to the nearby houses. There was chaos among the people living in the building at the time of the accident.
People trapped in the building due to smoke
It is being told that about 40 people were present inside the building at the time of the fire. At the same time, about 50 families living nearby were also affected due to smoke filling the stairs and lobby. There was an outcry among the people as the exit was closed. In the video surfaced on social media, high flames and thick smoke rising from the building are clearly visible.
Fire department started rescue operation
As soon as information about the incident was received, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. Fire brigade personnel immediately started the rescue operation and with the help of stairs, rescued the people trapped in the building. After much effort the fire was brought under control. It is a matter of relief that due to timely action a major loss was averted.
Chief Minister Yogi took cognizance
After receiving information about the accident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the matter. He instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and speed up the relief and rescue operations. Besides, orders were also given to provide better medical facilities to the injured and to monitor the entire matter.

Investigation into the cause of the fire continues
According to the administration, in the initial investigation, the cause of the fire is believed to be sparking in the electric bike. However, a detailed investigation is being conducted to find out the actual cause of the incident. Officials say that the damage is also being assessed and all possible assistance will be provided to the needy families.
