The biggest reason for the great success of Maruti Eeco is its excellent cabin space, low maintenance costs and adaptability to different uses. Today this van has not become just a personal vehicle, but has also become a source of income for small traders, shopkeepers and people associated with logistics. While in the initial phase it took almost 8 years for Eeco to reach the 5 lakh sales mark, the next 5 lakh vehicles were sold in just 5 years. The interesting thing is that the company sold the last 5 lakh models within a record three and a half years. Celebrating this historic sale of Rs 15 lakh, Maruti Suzuki has also launched its new 'Star Edition' in the market. A total of 18 new cosmetic changes are seen in this special edition, which make its interior and exterior much better and attractive than before. It has been given styling updates like body-coloured bumpers, so that customers can get a premium feel. However, the company has not made any changes in its engine or mechanical parts.
Currently, Maruti Eeco is available in the market with 13 different variants. These include 5-seater and 6-seater family passenger options as well as essential options for commercial use like Tour-V, Cargo and Ambulance. Customers can choose it in petrol or company-fitted S-CNG option as per their convenience and budget.
If we look at the figures, this van has received maximum love from rural areas. During the financial year 2025-26, rural markets alone accounted for about 65 percent of the total sales of Maruti Eeco. Not only this, 55 percent of the people who bought it were those who were buying a four-wheeler for the first time in their life. At the same time, more than 51 percent customers bought it for the purpose of furthering their business. Currently, the ex-showroom price of this van starts from Rs 5.21 lakh and goes up to Rs 6.46 lakh, which keeps it in the list of the most affordable and reliable vehicles in India.
