He alleged that Akash Anand, who was expelled from the party, was spreading rumors about his illness and was still doing politics at the behest of his father-in-law Ashok Siddharth. Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati on Sunday clarified the ongoing discussions regarding her health. Mayawati, who has been active on social media for the last one week, told the media that she is completely healthy. He termed the news of his ill health as baseless.
Mayawati alleged that Akash Anand, who was expelled from the party for the third time, was spreading rumors of her illness. According to the BSP chief, Akash Anand had called his house on Saturday night and asked for information about his health. He also claimed that Akash asked his personal secretary Alok Kumar on phone whether sister was unwell. Mayawati said that during the conversation with the party in-charge, Akash Anand also said that sister should not be told about this phone call. The BSP chief alleged that confusion was being spread about the health of those expelled from the party.
He said that Akash Anand is still working on the instructions of his father-in-law Ashok Siddharth. Mayawati claimed that Ashok Siddharth has talked about retiring from active politics, but Akash Anand is still under her influence and is not taking decisions with his discretion.
Mayawati reiterated that all the rumors being spread about her health are baseless. He said that he is healthy and the confusion being spread by those expelled from the party is aimed at influencing the political environment.
