It is said that one morning Nida Fazli was passing by a temple. There he heard the hymns of Surdas. He realized that the pain of bereavement and separation from a loved one was not only his personal experience but felt by others as well.
He then studied the works of literary figures like Kabir, Tulsidas, Surdas, Mirabai and Baba Farid. He also took inspiration from the poetry of Ghalib and Mir. The influence of all these began to be seen in his writings. He started writing in simple language that even a common man can easily understand and relate to his own life.
Nida Fazli's parents moved to Pakistan during the partition of the country, but she decided to stay in India. It was not an easy matter to make a life away from family. After completing his education, he started struggling in the field of job and writing.
