Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for this attack. BLA has claimed that in this attack they killed 25 Pakistani Army soldiers and set fire to two army vehicles.
There was chaos in the area after the attack. Security forces immediately evacuated the injured and took them to Bela Camp. After the attack, Pakistani security agencies have started a search and cleanup operation in the area. Movement on the highway has also been stopped.
N-25 is one of the major roads of Balochistan. It connects Karachi to Quetta and passes through several strategic terrains of the province. This is the reason why the impact of any major attack or long-term stoppage of movement on this road is not limited to the security forces only; movement of common people and business transportation can also be affected.
