Rahul Dravid's son Anvay suffered a heavy loss alone, Virender Sehwag's son Aryaveer's team lost badly.

It is said that like father, like son. But, looking at the recent performance of Rahul Dravid’s son Anvay and Virender Sehwag’s son Aryaveer, it does not seem that this thing suits them well. The sons of both the great players of Indian cricket faced each other in the ODI format on the pitch of Vinoo Mankad Trophy. When the teams of Karnataka and Delhi clashed on October 12 in the Under 19 Elite Group of the tournament, on the same pretext, a match between Junior Dravid and Junior Sehwag was also seen. Anvay was a part of the Karnataka team and Aryaveer Sehwag was captaining the Delhi team.

Anvay and Aryaveer’s game was opposite to that of their father.

In Indian cricket, Rahul Dravid was not known for batting very fast. But, Virender Sehwag’s specialty was that no matter what the format, he used to set the score board on fire with the pace of his batting. But, the scene was opposite in the clash between his sons in Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Here, the one who batted at the speed of a bullet was Rahul Dravid’s son Anvay and the one whose batting looked cool was Aryaveer Sehwag. His game had an impact on his team as well. On the basis of Anvay Dravid’s brilliant game, Karnataka badly defeated Delhi playing under the captaincy of Aryaveer Sehwag.

Aryaveer’s team together hit as many sixes as Anvay hit alone.

In the match, Karnataka batted first and scored 418 runs for 4 wickets in 49 overs. Anvay Dravid’s explosive performance played a big role in Karnataka reaching such a big score. Playing with a strike rate of 207, he remained unbeaten till the end. At the same time, he single-handedly hit more sixes than even Aryaveer Sehwag and his Delhi team together could not hit.

Anvay Dravid scored unbeaten 85 runs on 41 balls

Anvay Dravid scored unbeaten 85 runs in just 41 balls for Karnataka Under 19. His explosive innings included 5 sixes and 7 fours. Karnataka took a total of 22 sixes including 5 sixes by Anvay Dravid. Anvay Dravid remained unbeaten on 85 runs. But two batsmen – Nitin Arya and Dhruv Krishnan – completed their respective centuries, on the basis of which Karnataka set the target of scoring 419 runs in 49 overs for Delhi Under 19.

There was no fire in Aryaveer Sehwag’s batting

In this high voltage run chase, Delhi’s innings was started by Virender Sehwag’s son Aryaveer, but after facing 35 balls, he could score only 32 runs and that too without hitting a single six. Aryaveer’s innings included only 5 sixes. The entire team of Delhi Under 19, playing under the captaincy of Aryaveer Sehwag, could hit only 5 sixes against Karnataka. That is, as many kills as were scored by Anvay Dravid alone for Karnataka. This difference of sixes of both the teams also decided the outcome of the match.

Aryaveer’s Delhi lost by 198 runs

Aryaveer Sehwag’s Delhi team, chasing the target of 419 runs, was all out for 220 runs in 41.1 overs. In this way Karnataka Under 19 won the match by a huge margin of 198 runs.
