As a cricketer, when I think about the people who have shaped my journey, it doesn't start with the cricket field or the coach. I start at home. Even though no one knew me, my father recognized my love for cricket and perhaps more importantly, he understood what it meant to me. He didn’t know how big I would be in cricket, but he gave me the freedom to pursue it.”

Sachin Tendulkar further wrote, “There is no dearth of young talent in India. Whether a child picks up a bat, a ball, a book or recognizes his potential in any other field, it makes him special in his own way. They often do not lack talent, but lack access to people who can identify that talent and help them hone it.
