The tension between LPG and fertilizer is over! Amidst the war, PM Modi prepared the biggest masterplan

The ever-deepening war and geopolitical tension in West Asia (Middle East) has increased the concern of the entire world, which is directly impacting the global supply chain. In view of this crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high level meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) regarding energy security and supply of essential commodities. In this meeting, a concrete strategy has been prepared to save the common man from inflation and any kind of shortage. The main focus of the government is to ensure that there is no shortage of domestic gas (LPG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), petrol-diesel and fertilizers essential for farmers in the country. Emphasis on supply of LNG-LPG and petroleum products. India imports a large part of its energy needs from the Middle East, so war situations can disrupt the supply. In the meeting, the Cabinet Secretary told that the government has found new sources of import to maintain adequate availability of petrol, diesel, LPG and LNG. Government refineries are working at more than 100 percent capacity so that there is no shortage of fuel within the country. Apart from this, rapid expansion of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network and National Gas Grid were also discussed. The government has a clear instruction that international tension should not affect the prices of LPG for common consumers. Stock of fertilizers for the farmers and curbing black marketing. Keeping in mind the upcoming Rabi season, continuous availability of fertilizers for the farmers was kept as an important agenda of this meeting. PM Modi has given strict instructions to the officials that adequate stock of urea and DAP fertilizer should be maintained and its import from other countries should be ensured if needed. Along with this, special control rooms have been set up in collaboration with the states to prevent hoarding and black marketing under the Essential Commodities Act. If any trader or supplier takes advantage of this crisis and does black marketing of gas or fertilizer, then strictest action will be taken against him. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval were also present in this important meeting on security of Indian citizens and the next step of the government. PM Modi clearly said that to deal with this challenge, all the ministries will have to work together. The government is now focusing on options other than Gulf countries so that the energy crisis can be avoided forever. Additionally, it has also been directed to create a dedicated mechanism to ensure the safety of Indian nationals and merchant navy sailors working in conflict affected areas of the Middle East. One thing is clear from all this preparation of the government that no matter what the international situation is, the common Indian does not need to panic.
