While addressing the press conference, he claimed that the Narendra Modi-led NDA government is planning a shift of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to another ministerial portfolio, even as it faces mounting demands for his resignation over the NEET UG 2026 paper leak.

Gandhi’s remark came amid reports that the government is standing behind Pradhan and has ruled out his resignation despite sustained protest led by the CJP. Students protesting at Jantar Mantar have been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
