‘Three Demands Are Non-Negotiable’: Rahul Gandhi Demands Dharmendra Pradhan’s Removal From Cabinet, Rejects Portfolio Shift

New Delhi: Congress leader and LoP Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has addressed a special press conference on Saturday, 25 July 2026. While addressing the press conference, he claimed that the Narendra Modi-led NDA government is planning a shift of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to another ministerial portfolio, even as it faces mounting demands for his resignation over the NEET UG 2026 paper leak.

Gandhi’s remark came amid reports that the government is standing behind Pradhan and has ruled out his resignation despite sustained protest led by the CJP. Students protesting at Jantar Mantar have been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Rahul Gandhi said, “Three demands, and these are not negotiable.”

He further said, “The first demand is that the Education Minister, who is corrupt, incompetent, and misaligned, has to be sacked.”
