Weather Alert: Heavy rain and thunderstorm in 13 states in 12 hours
The Meteorological Department has issued a fresh alert amid the ongoing heat and humidity in many parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain and strong thunderstorm in 13 states including UP-Bihar on July 19.

According to the forecast of India Meteorological Department (IMD), on July 19, conditions of heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds may occur in many states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan. In some areas, the wind speed is expected to reach 80 to 85 kilometers per hour.
According to the alert of the Meteorological Department, the weather may remain bad in the next 24 hours in many parts of North India, Eastern and Central India. There is a possibility of damage to trees and weak structures due to strong winds. In such a situation, people have been appealed to avoid unnecessary travel during bad weather and follow the advice of the local administration.
Rain and storm warning in 13 states
According to IMD forecast, rain and strong winds may be seen in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Many weather systems are considered important behind the change in weather. A cyclonic circulation of upper air persists over North Haryana and surrounding areas.
Apart from this, cyclonic circulation conditions persist in the upper atmosphere around eastern Uttar Pradesh. Due to the impact of these systems, monsoon activities are likely to intensify in many areas.
Alert of heavy rain and strong wind in Delhi
There is a possibility of strong winds along with rain in the national capital Delhi on July 19. According to the Meteorological Department, the wind speed can reach around 60 to 70 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in the capital is expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 28 degrees Celsius.
Weather likely to worsen in many districts of Uttar Pradesh
There is a possibility of rain and thunderstorm in many districts of Uttar Pradesh including Meerut, Agra, Kanpur, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Pilibhit, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Basti, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Azamgarh and Sonbhadra. During this period, the wind speed in some areas can reach 60 to 65 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in the capital Lucknow is expected to be around 38 degrees and the minimum temperature will be around 29 degrees Celsius.
Heavy rain and storm forecast in Bihar also
There is a possibility of bad weather in many districts of Bihar including Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Buxar, Bhojpur, Saran, Siwan, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Purnia, Katihar, Araria, Munger, Khagaria, Bhagalpur and Begusarai. In Patna on July 19, the maximum temperature may be around 31 degrees and the minimum temperature may be 27 degrees Celsius. People have been advised to stay away from open places during heavy rains and winds.
Alert in Jharkhand and hilly states also
Heavy rain and strong winds are expected in many districts in Jharkhand between July 19 and 21. Wind speed can reach 70 to 80 kilometers per hour in many areas including Ranchi, Sahibganj, Dumka, Giridih, Palamu, Hazaribagh, Dhanbad, Bokaro and Jamshedpur. In Uttarakhand, there is an alert of rain and strong winds in Haridwar, Nainital, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Champawat, Tehri Garhwal and Udham Singh Nagar on July 19 and 20. In Himachal Pradesh, there is a possibility of bad weather in Shimla, Chamba, Solan, Mandi, Kinnaur, Una, Sirmaur and Kullu.
Chance of rain in Jammu-Kashmir and Rajasthan also
Heavy rain and thunderstorm may occur in many areas in Jammu and Kashmir between July 19 and 21. Rain with strong winds is expected in many areas including Jammu, Poonch, Udhampur, Kathua, Anantnag, Doda, Baramulla, Kupwara and Pulwama. There are signs of monsoon being active in Rajasthan also. There is a possibility of rain and thunderstorm in Churu, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Tonk, Bikaner, Bundi, Dholpur, Chittorgarh and Jaisalmer. In Jaipur on July 19, the maximum temperature may be around 35 degrees and the minimum temperature may be around 27 degrees Celsius.
