Bihar Government Minister Ashok Chaudhary has given statements on many important issues. He openly expressed his opinion on issues ranging from the problem of silt in the Ganga to the country's GDP growth, opposition politics, fish death and reservation. The minister said that if a clear silt policy is made for Ganga, Bihar will directly benefit from it. At the same time, he praised the financial management of the central government regarding the country's GDP growth.
Regarding the problem of continuously increasing silt in the Ganga basin, the Minister said that in view of the current situation of Ganga, there is a need to make a clear silt policy. Every year crores of tonnes of silt is accumulating in Ganga. Due to this, the depth of the river is decreasing, the risk of floods is increasing and navigation is becoming difficult. The minister said that if a silt policy is made, Bihar will directly benefit from it.
He said, 'Bihar is in the middle of Ganga. Most of the silt accumulates here. Removing silt will prevent floods, agricultural land will be saved and the silt can be used in construction work. Bihar will also benefit economically from this. He said that the Central Government should consider this seriously. Bihar government has raised this issue earlier also.

What did you say on GDP?
The minister supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement regarding the country's GDP growth. He said that even in the current global circumstances, if the country's GDP is growing at the rate of 7.8 percent, it shows the strong and successful financial management of the Central Government. He said that after the Middle East crisis, inflationary pressure also increased with the increase in the prices of gas and petroleum, but despite this, India has been successful in maintaining its GDP growth.
He further said that there is an atmosphere of recession in the whole world, the economy of many big countries is faltering, yet India remains the fastest growing economy in the world. In such a situation, it is not appropriate to question economic achievements just for the sake of political opposition. The minister said that the opposition should keep positive thinking. Everyone should be proud of the country's progress. The benefits of GDP growth are reaching the common people directly. Its impact is visible in poor welfare schemes, infrastructure and employment.

Ashok Chaudhary also targeted the opposition politics and said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee, even while being in the opposition, used to stand with the government on issues of national interest and foreign policy. He never criticized India when he went abroad. Ashok Chaudhary said, 'Country first, politics later, this was his thinking. On the contrary, today opposition leaders go abroad and raise questions on India's foreign policy and the Prime Minister. This is unfortunate. He said that this shows the difference in political thinking and quality of politics. Today's opposition protests just for the sake of protesting. Speaking ill of the country on foreign soil should stop. This tarnishes the image of the country.
Appeal to avoid eating dead fish
On the advisory issued regarding the death and consumption of fish in the Himalayan regions, the Minister said that there are about one thousand to eleven hundred water bodies in the Himalayan region, which are located in isolated and inaccessible areas. Fish are found in these water bodies, but the fish that die in harsh conditions are not safe for human consumption.
He said that the government is continuously making people aware through media and social media and people are being appealed not to consume fish found dead. Eating such fish can spread the disease. He also said that people need to be careful about consuming fishes during their breeding season. Their numbers are reduced by fishing during the breeding season.

What did you say on reservation?
On the ongoing debate regarding review of reservation, Minister Ashok Chaudhary called it a very sensitive and important issue. He said, 'Reservation is a right granted by the Constitution. There cannot be any kind of compromise on this. Reservation is the basis for the upliftment of Dalit, backward and deprived society.
He said that if a need for review or change is felt regarding reservation, then the debate on it should not be in the media but in Parliament. Only Parliament has the right to discuss such sensitive constitutional issues. There should be no rhetoric on this in TV debates. He said that their leader has constituted the Dalit Commission. He will move forward on this issue only according to his leaders and his ideology. He clarified that on a sensitive issue like reservation, the constitutional process should be followed instead of political rhetoric.
