Bijendra Kumar Gupta, the main accused in the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 paper leak, has been arrested from Bihar. Bhiwandi police team has caught him. Bijendra Gupta was absconding for a long time. Now he has been brought to Pune airport and will soon be taken to Bhiwandi for further questioning.
On July 5, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had arrested three employees of a printing press based in Agra. After the arrest of these three, now a total of 10 people have been arrested in this case. Bijendra Gupta is said to be the mastermind of this racket.

How many people were arrested?
The names of the arrested accused are Naresh Kumar Puranchand Mahore (35), Sanjaykumar Sureshchandra Chandra (44) and Babulal Narayan Singh Kushwaha (45). They were brought from Delhi and presented in Bhiwandi court. The court sent him to police custody till July 9.
What did Bijendra Kumar Gupta do?
According to police investigation, Naresh Kumar Mahore leaked the question paper from the printing press itself. After this it was given to former press employee Sanjay Kumar Sharma and the other absconding accused Sonu Kumar. Together they delivered this leaked paper to the main accused Bijendra Kumar Gupta. Gupta is considered to be the leader of this entire gang. Earlier also the accused used to work in printing press.

What are the police saying?
Officials have said that the arrested people are being asked about their relationship with Bijendra Gupta, when they were connected, how much money they received from the paper leak, what was their role in the paper leak.
Now what next?
Bhiwandi ACP Vijay Marathe said that the investigation has become more important with this recovery. Now it is being ascertained from where the cottages were brought. Police is busy searching for other accused.
