IIFA Awards 2027: Bollywood's prestigious IIFA ceremony will be held on January 22 and 23 at the Etihad Arena, Yas Island. This is the fourth time Abu Dhabi will host the event. This is the 27th IIFA Weekend and Awards Ceremony.

Major Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor will attend this event. Apart from this, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal will also be present at the event. However, the organizers have not yet revealed who will host the event or who will be given the awards.
Ticket sales information
Ticket sales will begin at 10am UAE time on Friday. With this announcement it has become clear that the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA Awards) will be held in Abu Dhabi. The organizers had hinted about it on social media this week. The 27th IIFA ceremony will once again be organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi and Miraal.
History of IIFA
IIFA's 25th anniversary event was held in Jaipur in 2025. Andre Timmins, Founder of IIFA Weekend and Awards, said, “It is very special to have this awards ceremony in Abu Dhabi for the fourth time. This time we want to raise the bar even higher.” Saleh Mohammed Al Geziri, Director General of Tourism, DCT Abu Dhabi, said that the return of IIFA reflects the relationship between India and the Emirates.
Importance of IIFA Award
The IIFA Awards celebrates the finest achievements of Hindi cinema, while its sister event IIFA Utsavam honors the achievements of the South Indian film industries. The IIFA Awards were started in 2000 in London with the aim of giving international recognition to Hindi cinema.
List of past events
Earlier, IIFA has been organized in cities like Dubai, Bangkok, New York, Amsterdam, Madrid, Kuala Lumpur and Macau. Dubai hosted the event in 2006, before the event moved to Abu Dhabi for three years in 2022. Tickets for IIFA 2027 will go on sale on the Etihad Arena website from 10am UAE time on September 18.
