‘Dharmendra Pradhan had to go’… After resignation, Rahul Gandhi gave new warning to the government

Tezzbuzz Desk – After the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi called it an important moment for the students and education system of the country. He said that this is not the defeat of any one minister, but the victory of lakhs of youth who raised their voice demanding transparency and accountability in the education system.

Speaking to the media, Rahul Gandhi said, “Dharmendra Pradhan had to go. This is the victory of our students, this is the victory of the future of India.” He said that the students’ movement was not against just one person, but symbolized the demand for reforms in the education system.

Rahul Gandhi alleged that the country’s education system has been continuously weakened in the last few years. According to him, India’s education system was once considered respected across the world, but now institutional pressure has increased on it and privatization has been promoted. He said that due to this, dissatisfaction increased among the students and the movement arose.

The Congress leader said that now it is the responsibility of the government not to limit itself to changing ministers, but to take concrete steps for comprehensive reforms in the examination system and education system. He said that only seriously listening to the voices of students can be a permanent solution to this crisis.

Rahul Gandhi also said that Dharmendra Pradhan was only a symbol. According to him, the basic objective of the movement is to make the education system more transparent, fair and accountable. Supporting the two major demands of the students, he said that clear action should be taken against the officials who acted on the students during the protest and Prime Minister Narendra Modi should publicly apologize to the students.

He also blamed Home Minister Amit Shah and said that accountability should be fixed for the action taken against the students. Rahul Gandhi said that Congress will continue to raise this issue strongly inside and outside Parliament.

At the end of his statement, Rahul Gandhi said that the country’s education, employment, institutional system and media are facing serious challenges. He warned that if the voices of youth and students were ignored, an even bigger mass movement could be seen in the future.
