0Electric Shock Death: The death of 28-year-old Sandeep in Delhi’s Surajmal Vihar has left his family in deep shock. Sandeep, who was returning home after completing his duty as usual, probably thought that he would be among his family in some time. However, an accident on the way became the last journey of his life. He died due to electrocution after coming in contact with an electric pole after suddenly getting stuck in a sunken part on the roadside.
Let us tell you that Sandeep used to work as a medical nursing caregiver. He used to take care of an elderly person in Surajmal Vihar. He lived with his relatives in Shahdara area. He used to come to work on foot every day. Even on the night of 26th August, he left for home after finishing his duty but after that he could never reach home.
Last conversation I had with mother
After receiving the news of her son’s death, Sandeep’s mother is crying badly. The most painful thing for the family is that the son with whom they were talking till some time ago, suddenly went away from them forever. According to family members, Sandeep was returning home from duty like usual. Kishan Pyari, mother of the deceased, said on her son’s death, ‘My son used to go to work in the morning. He was returning late, so I called him. He did not pick up the phone. Then someone else picked up the phone and later his phone got switched off.

Police responded
Shahdara DCP Rajendra Prasad Meena said, ‘Around 7:00 in the morning, information was received in the area of Anand Vihar police station that a person was lying unconscious near a pillar. Upon investigation on the spot, it was found that the deceased was leaning on a pillar. One of his feet was stuck in the pit, while his hand and head were stuck to the pillar. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After this, post-mortem was conducted, in which the cause of death was said to be electric shock. A case of negligence has been registered at Anand Vihar police station and further action is underway.

Sandeep trapped in a pit when the road caved in
Let us tell you that according to the initial investigation of the police, the accident happened on Somnath Road in Surajmal Vihar. Here the raw part of the road near the electric pole near the divider suddenly caved in. Meanwhile, Sandeep, who was passing by, lost his balance and fell into a pit about three feet deep. It is being told that after falling into the pit, Sandeep was stuck in it till his waist. During this time he came in contact with an electric pole. According to the police, current was flowing in the lower part of the pole. Sandeep got seriously burnt due to electric shock and his condition deteriorated on the spot.
