Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced its ODI and T20I squads for the upcoming limited-overs series against India. The tour, which runs from September 27 to October 18, will feature three ODIs and five T20Is. Shai Hope will lead the team in both formats. The matches will be held in eight different cities across the country.

John Campbell returns to the ODI squad, new faces get a chance in T20

For the ODI team, the selectors have reposed their faith in the players who recently played against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Opener John Campbell has returned to the team after recovering from a hamstring injury. Akeem Auguste, who underwent surgery in August, will be out of the tour due to rehabilitation. Young batsman Jwal Andrew has been included in his place, providing options in the top and middle orders.

In the T20 squad, aggressive opening batsman Kamil Pooran has been included in the national team for the first time. Pooran has scored 273 runs in his recent eight innings at a strike rate of 159.64. Quentin Sampson, who participated in the ICC T20 World Cup in India earlier this year, has also been retained. All-rounder Jason Holder has been rested for this series.
