Political turmoil in Delhi, opposition MPs reached Gandhi Smriti under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Political turmoil has intensified in Delhi regarding the NEET paper leak controversy. On one hand, security has been tightened in Jantar Mantar and surrounding areas. On the other hand, MPs from INDIA alliance under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi have reached Gandhi Smriti (30 January Marg) and are seen standing in support of the protesting students. Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure, the Home Ministry has decided to suspend mobile internet services within a radius of 1.5 kilometers from Jantar Mantar from 4 pm to 12 midnight. However, there was a lot of controversy before Rahul Gandhi reached Gandhi Smriti.

Let us tell you, as soon as many MPs of the opposition alliance INDIA left to go to Gandhi Smriti (30 January Road) under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Police stopped their convoy from moving forward by placing barricades and buses on the way. Not only this, security arrangements were also tightened in the area during this period.

Tribute was to be paid to the students

Let us tell you, Rahul Gandhi said on social media that the opposition MPs were going to pay tribute to the students who lost their lives after the paper leak, and wanted to stand in support of the students who were injured during the agitation. He said that the voice of the students should not be suppressed and the entire opposition stands with them.

Police stopped the bus at some distance

However, the police stopped Rahul Gandhi’s bus after covering a short distance. A large number of police, paramilitary forces and Rapid Action Force (RAF) were deployed on the spot. Congress alleges that the police had already blocked their way by placing buses and barricades. Congress leader Sandeep Dixit raised the question that when MPs can go to Parliament then why are they being stopped from visiting Gandhi Smriti.

During this, Priyanka Gandhi was also seen talking to the security officials inside the bus. The plan of the opposition parties was to reach Gandhi Smriti and hold a peaceful demonstration in support of the students. Many MPs from Shiv Sena (UBT), Trinamool Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), RJD, JMM, Samajwadi Party, CPI(M), CPI and other parties were also present along with Rahul Gandhi.

Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi expressed concern

On the other hand, former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi has also expressed concern about the student movement. He said that the problems of the students are real and they should be solved through sensitivity and dialogue. He also expressed grief over the use of force on women and youth.
