Tom Holland’s recent Instagram post has sparked fury among fans, with some questioning why he skipped wishing his wife, Zendaya, a happy birthday on her first birthday as his wife.
As Zendaya rang in her 30th birthday on Tuesday, September 1, the Spider-Man star sparked fan outrage after he did not publicly wish her a happy birthday and instead chose to share a fitness-related post. The post was a partnership announcement combining his workout routine with his non-alcoholic beer brand.
“Why didnt u post for zendays bday,” one user wrote in the comments section.
Another added, “Where’s zendaya’s birthday post”
Accompanied by an angry emoji, a third expressed, “Its zendaya’s birthday. wish her”
“So you post about your workout but not Zendaya’s birthday?” another fan remarked.
While a few fans expressed disappointment in Tom for seemingly snubbing Zendaya on her birthday on social media, many others came to the English actor’s defense, pointing out that not everything has to be displayed on social media for views.
“And what does it matter if he didn’t? He’s not obligated to do it, they’re already married, it shouldn’t matter if he posted something about Z’s birthday,” one supporter defended.
Another netizen came to his defense, stating, “I understand it would’ve been cute but not everything has to be on socials anymore like they’re literally married.”
The Uncharted actor’s fitness-related Instagram post came shortly after Zendaya penned a heartfelt message directed toward her fans, thanking them for unwaveringly supporting her throughout the last year of her twenties.
“I can’t thank ya’ll enough for making the last year of my twenties so beautiful, I have so much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to, with love as always….here’s to 30!!!!” she gushed.
