2027 Hyundai Creta: The country’s favorite SUV is coming in a new avatar, will get hybrid engine and powerful features.
Automobile Desk: Hyundai Creta, which has ruled the Indian passenger vehicle market for years, will soon be seen in a new and more modern form. Vehicle manufacturer Hyundai is working rapidly on the next-generation (3rd Generation) Creta of its blockbuster SUV. If media reports are to be believed, the new 2027 Creta will see many revolutionary changes not only in its design but also in its platform, cabin space and engine options.
New Creta will be based on new K3 platform
The biggest update of the upcoming Hyundai Creta will be its K3 platform (K3 Architecture). The new architecture is considered more robust and secure compared to the K2 platform of the existing model.
Better Safety: Due to the new structure, the body rigidity (strength) of the car will increase, which will improve crash safety.
More Space and Comfort: The pictures seen during testing indicate that the size of the new Creta will be slightly larger than the existing model. Due to increase in its wheelbase, rear passengers will get excellent legroom, headroom and more boot space.
Strong hybrid engine will be available for the first time
This time, Creta, which offers a combination of petrol and diesel, is going to have the flavor of hybrid technology.
Big jump in mileage: The company can introduce a new strong hybrid petrol engine with 1.5-litre capacity. With the introduction of this technology, the mileage of the car is expected to reach 25 to 27 km per liter (Kmpl).
Other engine options remain intact: Apart from the hybrid, the company will also continue to offer the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options to its customers. Also, manual and automatic gearbox options will also be available.
Sporty exterior and tech-loaded interior
In terms of design, the 2027 Creta will look bolder and more premium than before.

Exterior Look
It will have a new grille, new style L-shaped/pixel LED headlamps, connected taillights, muscular bumper, large alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof. Its roofline and overall stance will give it a proper rough-and-tough SUV look.
Cabin and Features
As soon as you step inside the cabin, you will find a completely digital and hi-tech environment:
New infotainment system: A large integrated dual-screen (touchscreen + digital driver display) can be provided on the dashboard.
AI and Connectivity: It will have Artificial Intelligence (AI) based voice assistance and advanced connected car features.
Smart Safety (ADAS): For safety, advanced safety features like 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Level-2+ ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) can be provided as standard.
When will it debut and launch in India?
Auto experts believe that Hyundai may showcase the first global look or prototype of the next-generation model of its flagship SUV by the end of 2026 or at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2026. Subsequently, it will be officially launched for sale in the Indian market in early 2027 (first quarter).
After launch, 2027 Hyundai Creta will compete directly with leading vehicles like Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider, Kia Seltos and Tata Harrier.
