Amid rising tension in West Asia, India advised citizens not to travel to Iran

Dubai23 april. Amid rising tensions once again in West Asia, India on Thursday advised its citizens not to travel to Iran. This advisory has been issued in view of recent reports regarding operation of some flights between the two countries.

“Restrictions on airspace and operational uncertainties due to regional tensions are affecting international flights to and from Iran,” the Indian Embassy in Tehran said in its latest advisory.

The embassy clarified, ‘In view of reports of resumption of some flights between India and Iran, in continuation of previous advisories, Indian nationals are strongly advised not to travel to Iran by air or road.’

Indians present in Iran advised to leave the country

The Indian Embassy has also requested all Indian citizens present in Iran to leave the country through land border routes determined in coordination with the Embassy.
